Description
In our avalanche transceiver course you will learn everything about avalanches.
On the 1st day we meet at the Gerlospass (Oberkrimml 95, 5743 Krimml, Austria) and from there we start a small ski tour along the forest in the direction of the Hinterplatte and the Plattenkogel. On the snow-covered alpine meadows we often find the opportunity to look into the snow cover and analyze its structure. In the late afternoon we meet again and deepen the practical exercises into the theory.
On the 2nd day we go to the Nadernachtal (starting point for the tour is the Gasthof Ronach) and depending on the snow conditions we go either to the Ronachgeier or to the Gernkogel. After a 1-2 hour walk we reach the tree line and right there we look again for weak layers in the snow and analyze the structure.
