AP stands for Advanced Performance Brake System, ATK's new system for locking the stopper when climbing.
The ATK Crest 10 AP - bronze ski binding is made from a combination of 7075 aluminum, stainless steel and POM plastic. The binding is durable and robust, but still economical in shape. The Easy Entry System® is a system for attaching the ski boot to the binding, designed to make this process easier with a minimum of effort. The Cam Release System® is the release system for the heel pin. It makes it easier to clip in the heel without having to "slam" the boot and allows the boot to be released gently in the event of a fall. There is a cam inside the heel that holds the pins in their original position thanks to a spring. If the front part of the binding is released or if a fall occurs, the cam pushes the pins out, so to speak, and releases the boot. The release torque on this model is adjustable from 5-10 DIN.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Easy Entry System®: a new geometry of the front automatic system makes getting in with all the latest generation of technical ski boots extremely easy, intuitive and safe, even with worn soles.
- Monolink® Technology 1.0: one of the two elements of the front automatic lock is fixed, reducing the weight by about 2.5 grams and improving rigidity. Compensates for the wear and tear of the front insert of the ski boot over the years, offers each user an appropriate closing force and reduces unnecessary pressure on the locking mechanism.
- The new heel with heel riser guarantees better comfort and allows up to three positions
- AP Brake System technology for easy locking of the ski stopper
- The integrated cross point holder SRA ensures the perfect insertion of all cross points from ATK®
- The 20 mm adjustment slide integrated into the heel unit is able to guarantee quick adjustment when changing ski boots (up to two sizes).
- The trigger system allows a lateral adjustment (Mz) and a vertical adjustment (My) from 3 to 18
- CAM RELEASE SYSTEM®: exclusive system that guarantees the best downhill performance available on the market, as well as extremely precise release and the smoothest insertion into the heel unit.
- ELASTIC RESPONSE SYSTEM®: an elastic sliding system applied to the heel unit that guarantees the natural flex of the ski (even during large jumps/compressions), improved release performance when the system is subjected to strong loads and reduced loads on the ski/boot/binding system.
- SKI BRAKE: available in different sizes (75, 86, 91, 97, 102, 108, 120 mm) to achieve perfect compatibility with any type of ski.
- ELASTIC SLIDE SKI BRAKE: integrated in the plate to ensure the maintenance of the lateral release value.
